Lisbona (Portugal). WYD DON BOSCO 23, the organization responsible for the convocation and participation of young people from the Salesian Youth Movement (SYM) in the World Youth Day (WYD) in Lisbon 2023, has announced the opening of registrations worldwide for young people from Salesian realities.

“Dear young people, I invite you to register for this encounter in which, after a long period of separation, we will rediscover the joy of the fraternal embrace between peoples and between generations, which we need so much,”  were the  words of encouragement of Pope Francis after the Angelus of 23 October  2022, while he registered as the first pilgrim.

The young pilgrims of the SYM can register through the platform WYD DON BOSCO 23 (www.wyddonbosco23.pt) and they will be hosted in Salesian houses or in families linked to the Salesian pastoral communities of the Lisbon Region.

The registration process is divided into three phases. In the first place, registration takes place through a form, which will be made available by the SYM Center or by the Salesian House frequented by the young people. Subsequently, the local pastoral coordinator will send the registrations to the designated Provincial Referent, who will register the group at WYD DON BOSCO 23. Finally, the WYD DON BOSCO 23 secretariat team will validate the data received and continue the registration process directly with the organization of WYD Lisbon 2023.

The organization reminds that registration must be made on the Salesian platform www.wyddonbosco23.pt and not on the official WYD Lisbon platform 2023.
