Buenos Aires (Argentina) There are numerous solidarity initiatives organized by the Communities of the Daughters of Mary Help of Christians of the Argentine Province of St. Francis de Sales (ABA) to deal with the Coronavirus emergency.

At Río Grande, Terra del Fuoco, the FMA of Mary Help of Christians Community, networking with the Salesians of Don Bosco and collaborators, distribute bags of dry food and vegetables to those who regularly attend the FMA ‘table’ and to the families who need it most.

Mary Help of Christians Community of Avellaneda – Buenos Aires, knit wool squares to combine them into blankets to help those who have no protection against the cold to survive the approaching winter.

The FMA of Ciudad Evita – Buenos Aires, in collaboration with the parish, neighbors, and the Argentine Army, daily cook meals for 300 people to be delivered in the Centro Barrial Santa Clara.

Students and past pupils of the Professional Courses of Mar del Plata (Buenos Aires) and the FMA of Puerto Deseado (Santa Cruz) collaborated in the creation of gowns and masks for the hospital of the Region and for the city Police.

The St. Mary Mazzarello Community of San Justo hosts in the school gym, 75 officers from the Buenos Aires Police who carry out their work in the area. The FMA provided them with equipment, changing rooms, kitchen, and everything necessary for their stay. They also purchased food to collaborate with the Calles Solidarity Association and the Ciudad Evita Community, which distribute food to the neediest families.

The volunteers of Mary Help of Christians House  in La Boca network with the other Salesian houses and institutions in the neighborhood. In San Pedro they provide a flu vaccination service and in St. John Evangelist they work on Sunday at the Mamma Margherita table for the homeless.

Puerto San Julián (Santa Cruz), the past pupils prepare parcels of snacks, accompanied by a thank you message, for those who work in essential services (security forces, waste collection, etc.).

The School Council of Ensenada, together with the Scouts, prepared packets of food for students in the area.
