Bangkok (Thailand). On 18 May 2021 some members of the Salesian Family met with the parish priest, Fr. Anurat Na Songkhla of the Parish of the Immaculate Conception of the Miraculous Medal, in the meeting room of the Samakkhi Sonkhro School in the Khlong Toei district of Bangkok, to deliver long-life food packages to donate to people affected by Covid-19.

Present at the meeting were Sr. Kannaporn Sothon and Sr. Imelda Barattino, Daughters of Mary Help of Christians of the Auxilium Community of Bangkok, of St. Mary Mazzarello Province (THA), and Salesians of Don Bosco (SDB), Salesian Cooperators (ASSCC), members of the Association of Mary Help of Christians (ADMA), Sisters of the Immaculate Heart of Mary (SIHM), Daughters of the Royalty of Mary (DQM), Sisters of the Royalty of Mary Immaculate (SQM).

The Provincial of the Salesians of Don Bosco, Fr. Dheparat Pitisant, presided over the Marian prayer, which ended with the solemn blessing of Mary Help of Christians and a hymn to Mary. He addressed those present saying that this gesture was a response to the desire of the Rector Major, Fr. Ángel Fernández Artime, that the members of the Salesian Family, scattered all over the world, collaborate according to their possibilities to alleviate the suffering of the people caused by the consequences of pandemic.

The parish priest thanked the Salesian Family, assuring them that with the help of the members of the Parish Council, he would arrange for the distribution of the parcels to the most needy of the four districts of Khlong Toei entrusted to him.
