Rome (Italy). A group of young European sisters from the Institute of the Daughters of Mary Help of Christians gathered in the Company of Heaven (Compagnia del Cielo), to make Salesian spirituality known and to circulate materials for catechesis and pastoral care.
In the years of their Novitiate in Rome, after having created a musical on Sister Maria Romero, a Salesian missionary who lived in service to the poorest, the young sisters, driven by the desire to reach the young, continued to walk together and through music, art, and dance bring God to young people.
To prepare for the feast of San Domenico Savio they prepared a novena that was published on the Instagram profile. The seed of San Domenico Savio continues to sprout and bear fruit even in times of Pandemic Covid-19. The greatest miracle that St. Dominic Savio continues to perform, in fact, is that even today, thanks to him, many young people can have the opportunity to know the Lord. He who was an enthusiast of the faith and rooted his Baptism in a fully evangelical life, continues to say still today: “You are good material”. He who made himself a beautiful clothing for the Lord, spurs us to realize a holy life, to be friends of Jesus and Mary, and not to commit sins.
On May 6, 2020, in the Celebration of the Feast of St. Domenic Savio, the Compagnia del Cielo published on the Youtube channel the video ‘A Gift of Love’, a song message for all teenagers: “Like Domenic, everyone can, with the fabric of one’s life, making beautiful ‘clothing’, a gift of love.”
