Rome (Italy). In preparation for the XV Ordinary General Assembly of the Synod of Bishops “Youth, Faith and Vocational Discernment”, with the whole Church and the Institute of the Daughters of Mary Help of Christians, the Youth Pastoral Sector offers No. 14 of the YP Series: “With the young people towards the Synod. The Pre-Synod Meeting calls us as educating communities” written in the five official languages ??of the Institute.

The text gathers:

– The highlights of the Final Document of the Pre-Synod Meeting of young people, held in Rome from 19 to 24 March 2018;

– The reflections of two young people (one representative of the Salesian Youth Movement and the other a past pupil) and of three Daughters of Mary Help of Christians who attended the meeting in preparation for the Synod.

An interesting element of the resource is the offer of work sheets and sharing for the educating communities, to be used to live the time of preparation and post Synod as a time of grace, kairos, living the accompaniment of the young generations.

The No. 14 of the YP Series is a tool to assimilate the Final Document of the Pre-Synod Meeting. The reading and reflection of what the young people have elaborated will be able to accompany the journey of the educating communities in rediscovering the prophetic role of being the salt and light of the world in the Church.

Set out with young people as Educating Communities and rediscover the enthusiasm of the da mihi animas cetera tolle to respond to the profound expectations of the young, accompanying them in their path of discernment, so that they may meet the Lord and live their lives fully.
