Kattappana (India). The Directors of the Auxilium Center in Kattappana, Kerala, of the Daughters of Mary Help of Christians of Sacred Heart of Jesus Province (INK), to celebrate significantly the 25th anniversary of the School and the presence of the FMA in Kattappana, decided to build a small house for a widowed woman with two children.

Five percent of the land was donated by the family of one of the students and, thanks to the generosity of parents, teachers, students, neighbors, and benefactors, the project went ahead successfully, and the construction of the house was completed.

The blessing ceremony and handing over of the keys took place on 10 March 2022. Fr. Anil Eapen, Vicar of the Catholic Church of St. Paul in Malankara, when blessing the house and the family, addressed the people present praising the School Management for the decision to make a lasting monument of gratitude, rather than external celebrations to celebrate the silver jubilee.

The key to the house was given to the woman by Sr. Sheela Jacob, Animator of the FMA Community and of the School. Present at the time of celebration were the Principal, Sr. Sophy Joseph, teachers, neighbors, volunteers, students, and parents’ representatives.
