Turin (Italy). The Piedmont Province of Mary Help of Christians (IPI), in whose land the 2022 World Gratitude Day will take place on 24, 25, 26 April 2022 – in Turin, Mornese, Nizza with the theme “They are my daughters”, on the web site www.festadelgrazie.org, makes available to the FMA Communities and Educating Communities an itinerary to prepare for the event.
CALL
Call the key word that accompanies the first week, from 28 March to 3 April, set in the city of Turin, where Don Bosco, in 1862, had dreamed of being in Piazza Vittorio among a large number of noisy girls who asked for help. While he was thinking of drawing back, a noble Lady had appeared with her face all resplendent and said to him, “Take care of them, they are my daughters.”
A video helps you enter the episode and get to know the places where it happened:
The texts available on the site can offer ideas to the Communities to experience, during the week, celebratory or formative moments in preparation for the event.
The biblical cues present three female figures from the Old Testament in whom to contemplate the features that will be summarized and fully embodied by Mary. In the first week, Queen Esther is presented, who shows courage, availability, and great faith in accepting in her life the call of God to take care of her people.
The proposals for commitment – attention to today’s calls and the Angelus Prayer – help to “renew the ‘yes’ to God at this time, as consecrated women and communities that allow themselves to be challenged by the Lord and by reality.” (Pope Francis to the Capitulars)
On the web site www.festadelgrazie.org it is also possible to find a special entrustment to Mary in various languages, which will accompany the Daughters of Mary Help of Christians to live the time towards the World Feast of Gratitude, with a grateful soul for the journey of the FMA Institute in the 150 years since the Foundation and with the desire to continue to be today a living monument of gratitude.
