Roma (Italia). Il 24 ottobre 2020 si celebra il 12° anniversario della Elezione della Madre Generale dell’Istituto delle Figlie di Maria Ausiliatrice, Suor Yvonne Reungoat.
Le sorprese di Dio ci chiedono di accogliere l’inedito di ogni giorno, con fiducia e speranza. Ci uniamo a Madre Yvonne nel vivere questo tempo non abituale, in comunione tra noi e con il mondo, pronti a rispondere con gioia all’invito: “Fate tutto quello che Egli vi dirà” (Gv 2,5).
È lo stesso invito che, il Rettor Maggiore dei Salesiani di Don Bosco, Don Ángel Fernández Artime, nella Celebrazione Eucaristica del 24 ottobre 2014, faceva alle Capitolari prima della elezione della Madre, richiamando Maria a Cana, «Qualsiasi cosa vi dica, fatela».
Ecco, Madre, la chiamata ancora oggi a intraprendere il cammino, in attento ascolto del Maestro, di Gesù e del suo Spirito, con un cuore aperto e docile per continuare a “riempire quelle anfore d’acqua”, di sollecitudine, di gioia, di amorevolezza, di conforto e di compassione per le FMA, per i giovani e per la Famiglia Salesiana nel Mondo.
Con Maria, accogliendo questo tempo straordinario di generatività, continua Madre a dare impulso e vita nuova alla missione a cui sei stata chiamata il 24 ottobre 2014.
Interpellata sulla disponibilità ad essere successora di Madre Mazzarello e a incarnare la sua maternità per condividere una nuova stagione di profezia nell’Istituto FMA a servizio della Chiesa, hai risposto: «Accetto! Ringrazio per la fiducia. L’espressione biblica che mi sostiene è: “Quando sono debole è allora che sono forte”. Mi affido interamente a Maria e accolgo il suo invito: “Fate quanto Lui vi dirà”».
Oggi, nel 12° anniversario dell’Elezione, ripeti ancora: “Don Bosco assicurava che la vera Superiora dell’Istituto è Maria Ausiliatrice. A Lei affido la missione di animare e governare l’Istituto delle FMA. Io cercherò di essere, come Madre Mazzarello, la Sua Vicaria”.
A te Madre, l’augurio riconoscente di tutte le Figlie di Maria Ausiliatrice, della Famiglia Salesiana, delle Comunità Educanti e dei giovani nel mondo. Felice Anniversario!

Maria Troncatti community – Jaffna – Sri Lanka, wishing you for the marvelous guidance and accompaniment that you have given to us during the past 12 years. We too pray for you to receive more grace and blessings of the Lord for your life journey in Christ Jesus. You are the real mother for our spiritual journey and strengthened us at all the time in so many aspects. We are grateful to you dear Mother for that you were beside us and visited us and gave us lot encouraging words to be a faithful religious in our calling. Dalle comunità SLC ti raggiunga la nostra lode a Dio per i dodici anni del tuo servizio, e particolarmente per il servizio di quest’ultimo anno, inedito per la situazione che nel mondo si è creata che tu, per prima e quotidianamente, conosci per tutto l’Istituto. Grazie all’Ausiliatrice per il numero perfetto degli anni alla guida dell’Istituto, incoronato da questi ultimi mesi speciali in cui ci animi con forza a non perdere lo sguardo di fede e di speranza, a non dimenticarci dei giovani e a rimanere vicine all’umanità tanto provata.
