Rome (Italy). The Pre-Synod Meeting is taking place in Rome with 350 participants, including young people from all over the world, Christians and non-Christians, believers and non-believers, and various existential situations and life experiences. After the start of the work, first with a talk by the Pope and then with an exchange of questions and answers between young people and Francis, the young people divided into small linguistic circles to examine the work outline in order to elaborate the document that the young people will give to the Pope on Palm Sunday.

Among the participants, for the Institute of the Daughters of Mary Help of Christians, there are: young María Eugenia Sehara Piñeyro of Uruguay, representative of the Salesian Youth Movement; the young teacher of an Indian FMA School Anjana Treesa Thadathil, representative of the Catholic Church of the Siro-Malabarese rite; three FMA: Sr. Cristina Vargas Diazgranados from Colombia, new missionary, representative of young religious sisters; Sr. Karla Marlene Figueroa Aguigurems, of Honduras, teacher at the Auxilium, representative of the educators of Catholic Universities and Schools; and Sr. Cynthia Calabig, Philippines, Novice Formator, representing formators in consecrated life.

The invitation is to follow this event through the different channels, in particular the Sito Synod2018, available in six languages, where there are many resources and much information on the development of the Pre-Synod Meeting.

Sunday, March 25, 2018, Palm Sunday, the XXXIII World Youth Day will be celebrated in the dioceses of the world. For this occasion, Pope Francis gave a beautiful message on the theme “Do not be afraid, Mary, because you have found favor with God” (Lk 1:30).
