Nizza (Italy).Witnesses of holiness” is the title of the three evenings organized in the Nizza Trinity Auditorium M in the desire to highlight the figures of three saints (even if not yet canonized) of Nizza: Venerable Paolo Pio Perazzo, the Franciscan tertiary; Venerable Sister Teresa Valsè Pantellini, Daughter of Mary Help of Christians; Servant of God, Mother Maria Teresa Camera, Daughter of Our Lady of Piety.

The three evenings, organized by the parishes of Nizza M. and Vaglio Serra, the Daughters of Mary Help of Christians, and the Daughters of Our Lady of Mercy in collaboration with the Municipality of Nizza M., and the Academy of Nizza culture L’Erca non-profit organization, aroused great interest in public participation for both historical and cultural interest, allowing the discovery of three great figures who are little known or whose memory was beginning to fade …

The aim of bringing to the attention of the citizens Nizza and beyond, the spiritual path and the social work of which they were promoters, while enhancing the local cultural heritage, was fully achieved also due to the enthusiasm and richness of Father Pier Giuseppe Pesce, Franciscan of the Order of Friars Minor, Postulator of the cause of Paul Pio Perazzo; Sister Sylwia Ciezkowska, Daughter of Mary Help of Christians, Vice Postulator of the Institute of the Daughters of Mary Help of Christians; and Sister Emma Guidolin, Daughter of Our Lady of Mercy, Superior of the Daughters of Our Lady of Mercy in the Nizza Monferrato community as they presented the three figures in a complete and captivating manner.

Three prominent and outstanding figures, despite the hiddenness and simplicity with which they led their lives; three model citizens, three figures to be imitated and taken as an example, each with their own specificity and all three having a deep connection with Nizza Monferrato: Paolo Pio Perazzo was born there; Sister Teresa Valsè Pantellini completed her dream there with her consecration as a Daughter of Mary Help of Christians; Mother Maria Teresa Camera as the foundress of the Sisters of Mercy, who have an important home in Nizza Monferrato.

The organizers hope that this initiative was the first in a long series of events, aimed at further studying the lives of these 3 “Saints”, and knowing other witnesses of faith whose pious, charitable works are in some way connected to Nizza Monferrato.
