Rome (Italy). From 9 to 18 August 2021, 43 Temporary Professed Daughters of Mary Help of Christians of the Middle East Europe Interprovincial Conference (CIME), and two students of the Pontifical Faculty of Education “Auxilium” in Rome lived the formative experience of the Temporary Professed in Ariccia (Rome)  at the Divine Master House of Spirituality.

The Temporary Professed from 1 to 4 years of Profession, accompanied by Sr. Anna Avenia, from the Province of Our Lady of Good Counsel (IMR) and Sr. Maria Ruta, from the Mother Maddalena Morano Province (ISI), studied the Marian dimension in the FMA Institute, starting from a phrase that St. Mary Domenica Mazzarello used to repeat to her sisters, We are true images of the Our Lady (Cronistoria III p. 216).

Sr. Linda Pocher, FMA Professor at the Pontifical Faculty of Educational Sciences “Auxilium” in Rome, guided the Temporary Professed in reflecting on the presence of Mary in their life and in the educational mission through a journey developed through workshop dynamics and methods, “from being a daughter to being a mother”. Sr. Linda also went in depth about the presence of Mary in Don Bosco’s life through the analysis of a dream, and in Mother Mazzarello.

The various aspects of the topic were addressed with the contribution of other speakers: Sr. Elena Ongarato, FMA of the Province of St. Mary D. Mazzarello (ITV); Sr. Maria Grazia Tripi, of the ISI Province; and Dr. Annatonia Mino, psychologist and lawyer.

The reflection on Mary was enriched by viewing the film “Io sono con te” (I am with you), (Italy, 2010) by the director Guido Chiesa, and by  comparison with the screenwriter Nicoletta Micheli. Sr. Maria Grazia Tripi developed the theme of the teen series, the children’s TV series, urging the Temporary Professed to share the imagery of young people and how to introduce them to a relationship with Mary.

On 15 August, the Solemnity of Mary’s Assumption into heaven, the young FMA lived the experience of the pilgrimage to the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Galloro, near Ariccia.

The Temporary Professed lived the formative experience in depth, in a fraternal atmosphere:

“They were enriching days during which we were able to meet again and share in a fraternal and serene atmosphere, the journey of these years and the experiences we have lived, even in the time of the pandemic. Grateful for this intense experience, we hope for a good resumption of the daily journey, certain that every day there is a point accessible to good, through which God shows us the road to follow”.
