San Luis Potosí (Mexico) From 24 to 26 January 2020, a few days before the celebration of Don Bosco’s feast, in the city of San Luis Potosì, Mexico, the National Meeting of Parents of Salesian Schools of Mexico took place, coordinated by the National Education Team in Mexico.  More than 260 mothers and fathers participated of the students of the Schools of the Daughters of Mary Help of Christians and of the Salesians of Don Bosco of all the Provinces of the Mexican Republic.

The Conferences, the Round Tables, and all the reflections of the days revolved around the theme of the meeting: “Sharing the joy of love in the family.”

These were the topics of the conferences held: “Love in the family, a reality to build,” “Establish the limitations of love in the family,” “The ABC’s of emotions,” and “Significant Families for the youth of today.”

The solid foundation on which the content was based was the Church Magisterium, with reference to the Documents, like the Apostolic Exhortations Amoris laetitia and Christus Vivit  of Pope Francis.

The main message that flowed from the reflections was that of re-evaluating the importance of love in the family and the educational implications that this reality brings, as well as some of the situations that favor it or, on the contrary, prejudice it.

Every participant renewed the commitment to take care, strengthen, and walk together as a family in the spirit of the Preventive System that is still as timely today as it was yesterday.
