Luanda (Angola). On 6 November 2021, the Daughters of Mary Help of Christians of Queen of Peace Preprovince (ANG) met in Luanda, at the See of the Preprovince, for the transmission of the experience of the XXIV General Chapter lived in Rome, Italy from 17 September to 24 October 2021, by the Superior of the Preprovince, Sr. Maria das Graças De Souza, and by the Delegate, Sr. Eurídice F. Nsamba Filipe.
During the unfolding of GC XXIV, the FMA of the Provinces and Preprovinces from all over the world, with the Educating Communities, followed the event with trepidation, through the web and online broadcasts, accompanying the Chapter members with prayer and cordial interest. Gratitude, a sense of communion with the FMA Institute, and openness to the Holy Spirit are the attitudes with which, in this phase of returning to the Provinces / Preprovinces, they welcome the words and testimony of the participants.
The transmission for the ANG Preprovince began in the Chapel, with a profound and meaningful celebration that helped the FMA to get to the heart of this Institute experience. The Gospel passage from the Wedding at Cana, which guided all the stages of preparation for GCXXIV and from which the theme “Do whatever he tells you” (Jn 2:5) was taken – Communities that generate life in the heart of contemporaneity was reread in a climate of faith, preparing the heart to perceive and welcome God’s action in the life of the Communities and of the FMA Institute.
The Chapter members, Sr. Maria das Graça and Sr. Eurydice, gave voice to the richness and vivacity of the Institute, an expression of the different cultures and ways of embodying the Charism, learned and experienced by sharing experiences with the participants, an invitation to open the heart to the newness of God.
The day of transmission concluded by tasting the good wine of fraternity, with the desire and the joy of welcoming the guidelines of the GCXXIV to be, with Mary, a “presence” that generates life, so that young people may have life and have it in abundance!
