Rome (Italy). The journey of reflection and study of the three nuclei of the chapter theme continues to engage the Chapter members, gathered in Rome for the XXIV General Chapter.
And the Word of God is still the heart of every day, the sayings and actions that the guests at the Wedding at Cana arouse, are light in the search together and in discerning daily choices and responses of life and faith in the heart of contemporaneity.
Sr. Marta Riccioli, Provincial of the Argentine Province of St. Francis Xavier (ABB), introduces the theme of the 2nd Synodal Communities Nucleus “Synodal style as in Mornese” (Jn 2: 3-109).
After having retraced in the biblical text the dynamics of the actions of Mary and Jesus, she invites the Chapter members “to build inclusive communities, interwoven with intergenerational, intercultural, and even inter-congregational relations. In their diversity, these relationships are a precious opportunity to exercise the pedagogy of welcoming and listening, which always favors the appreciation of the diverse as richness”.
She dwells on Mary’s attitude at Cana, highlighting proximity and closeness. “Mary promotes loving relationships through contact and dialogue, she awakens life as caring and interdependence. She generates an environment of interaction, of communication; her word open to dialogue is the beginning and the invitation to change the situation. She makes sure that all the characters interact in a network of bonds, which generates a serene and cheerful atmosphere that you can breathe and enjoy. Maìn, in Mornese, generates this unique family spirit, which becomes a paradigm, model, and a ‘new lifestyle’, capable of including all the members of the community”.
After a period of personal study, the Chapter members are called to weave networks of animation in synodality, to confront and dialogue within the Commissions and Sub-commissions. At the time of the assembly, summaries of the work are presented, followed by an in-depth dialogue and sharing of experiences aimed at strengthening the sense of being a synodal community on the way.
“Being synodal communities means revitalizing the journeys in progress and opening oneself to the newness of the Spirit. The challenge is to be able to create synergy, networks of relationships of reciprocity and co-responsibility in the context of the Salesian spirituality and mission. This will help to build an evangelical and charismatic future permeated with a family spirit, which is the basic climate in which the Mornese charism is expressed”.

Querida Madre Yvonne, após um longo período de generosa doação ao Instituto e à Igreja, como sucessora de Madre Mazzarello, a vigária de Nossa Senhora, chegou a hora de dizer um novo “SIM”, nessa sequência de discernimentos que povoou sua vida.
Obrigada pela dedicação extrema ao seu serviço como Madre Geral das FMA. Nós nos acostumamos a vê-la sorridente e ativa em todas as situações, das mais consoladoras às mais desafiadoras, da vida do nosso Instituto. Obrigada por sua entrega generosa ao carisma e pelo impulso missionário que motivou tanta doação e tantos projetos ao redor do mundo.
Junto com a senhora, queremos agradecer as queridas Conselheiras. Cada uma delas deixa uma mensagem de trabalho, de união, de carinho fraterno em relação a todas nós, FMA espalhadas pelo mundo. É muito bom ter a segurança de caminhar na unidade, embora no respeito às diversidades. É isso que cada uma das nossas irmãs conselheiras nos asseguraram durante estes anos.
Nós, da Comunidade de Brasília-DF, queremos agradecer o cuidado com que sempre nos olharam. Somos uma comunidade pequena, mas muito corajosa. Temos assumido tarefas desafiadoras, mas foi muito bom termos sempre à frente, a Madre e o Conselho, como uma seta apontando caminhos.
Nas nossas mãos estão muitos projetos e muitos sonhos do nosso Brasil Salesiano. Obrigada pelo incentivo e pela presença sempre entusiasmante.
Madre, neste mês missionário, ao entregar o cajado a outra Pastora que a sucederá, sabemos que o Senhor lhe reserva novas surpresas missionárias. Nós a acompanharemos com a oração e com o carinho cheio de gratidão.
Às Conselheiras que terminam o mandato, auguramos novos projetos e sempre muita vida! Às que continuarem, queremos afirmar: contem conosco!

Entendemos que “Ser comunidades sinodales inclusivas, tejidas de relaciones intergeneracionales, en su diversidad”, son una ocasión preciosa para poner en práctica la pedagogía de la acogida, contribuyendo así a vivir un espacio de caridad evangélica en cada comunidad, como Maìn en Mornese, que es nuestro modelo de “estilo de vida nueva”; nosotras desde una comunidad de enfermas y hermanas mayores, madre Mazzarello de Mèxico, rezamos y ofrecemos nuestras intenciones para que en unión de corazones todas las capitulares, estén abiertas a la acción del espíritu. Gracias hermanas capitualares. Tambièn nos unimos a todas en el “Gracias” que ayer ofrecieron a nuestra querida madre General.
Gracias porcomparti está hermosa relación del Capítulo. Estamos con muchos deseos de conocer todo lo que van viviendo y reflexionando para que nuestra sea más rica en el Espíritu y en el amor a Dios!! Abiertas y sinodales!!! Gracias.
