Campos dos Goytacazes (Brazil). The 7TH International Congress of Scientific Knowledge (CICC), organized by the Higher Education Institutes of Mary Help of Christians Educational Center, (ISECENSA) of Campos dos Goytacazes, Rio de Janeiro in Mother Mazzarello Province (BMM) took place online from 20 to 24 September 2021.

The objective of the Congress, now in its 7th edition, is to give life to an interdisciplinary forum, creating opportunities for knowledge and research, promoting the sharing of knowledge and collaboration in projects.  The program was articulated in 97 conferences, 84 short courses, 38 presentations, and seven round tables, which addressed the post-pandemic perspectives concerning the main areas of science and innovation.

Most of the activities were addressed to  around 3,000 University professors and academic personnel, who participated through a multimedia platform, connecting from 14 countries, while some conferences were open to the public, through the Channels on You tube and Instagram, and others exclusively for ISECENSA students, through the platform.

The event began on 20 September 2021 with the conference “Science as an engine of innovation”, held by Dr. Ekaterina Emmanuil Inglesis Barcellos and broadcast for subscribers on the platform.

At the official inauguration open to the public, Dr. Maria das Graças Freire, General Coordinator of the CICC, introduced the program of the Days, emphasizing the goal of making science more familiar to students and Communities.

Sr. Rosa Idália Pesca, General Director, and Beth Landim, Vice Director, welcomed the participants, underlining the importance of scientific research and innovation for today’s society. Sr. Rosa Idália expressed her gratitude to Sr. Suraya Benjamin Chaloub, Director emeritus, for giving substance to the project of the CENSA Higher Education Institutes, “In these 20 years of existence, we have always worked with daring, seeking the best for our students and for society. Knowledge was gained in studying history, in sharing knowledge, in the communication that breaks down cultural barriers, which moves the boundaries and widens the network of solidarity.”

This was followed by the greeting of Sr. Teresinha Ambrosim, Provincial of  Mother Mazzarello Province (BMM), from Rome (Italy), where she is participating in the XXIV General Chapter, and of Sr. Ivone Goulart Lopes, Collaborator of the Youth Ministry Sector of the FMA Institute and Responsible for Higher Education Institutes, who praised and encouraged ISECENSA for the Congress initiative.

“The strength of faith and forgiveness in building a culture of peace” was the title of the conference held by Dr. Gustavo and Dr. Dila Póvoa, who gave their testimony of faith and hope. The round table “What have we learned from Covid-19 so far?” completed the introductory scenario to the following Days.

The students of the Lyceum were also involved in the Congress, and were able to follow some lessons prepared for them. Scholarships were also drawn up for the year 2022. “Our desire is that the Educating Communities, young graduates, and Professionals seize this opportunity; only in this way is knowledge multiplied. All this is didactic, human, and Salesian enrichment ”said Beth Landim, motivating the Congress.
