Santiago (Chile). From 7 to 9 May 2025, in Santiago, at the headquarters of  Saint Gabriel Archangel Province  (CIL), there was the formation meeting of the Coordinators ECOS – Team of Social Communication.

The objective of the meeting was to strengthen formation around the concept of “presence” as communicators and to progress in technical formation through the Boot Camp experience, as part of the Google Level II Educator Certification process.

At the opening, the participants received a greeting from Sister Ausilia de Siena, General Councilor for Social Communication of the Institute of the Daughters of Mary Help of Christians, who said to them: “Being authentic means not only giving importance to appearance, but being a presence of quality that, witnessing the message of the Gospel, exercises the art of dialogue, cultivates a critical conscience in oneself and in others, so as not to become slaves of algorithms. An authentic presence fosters relationships, mutual listening, empathy, and evangelical closeness.”

During the first day of activity, Sister Susana Díaz Vidal, CS Coordinator of the CIL Province, developed the central theme – “ECOS presence that communicates” – based on the text of the Guidelines for FMA presence in Social Networks. This space made it possible to focus on the formation process and to establish criteria shared among the participants.

Subsequently, strategies were addressed to design marketing campaigns necessary for the Educating Communities, with a closer approach to the world of META Ads, thanks to the collaboration of CODE Chile.

On the second day, at Millo Technologies facilities, Mr. Alejandro Gallegos of CODE Chile – both partners of Google – provided formation in Boot Camp mode, oriented towards obtaining the Certification of Google Educators  Level II.

During the afternoon, the participants moved to the Caeteratolle Multimedia Center to carry out practical workshops of Photography, Television, and Podcast.

The third day ended with in-depth activities and exercises on core tools such as Notebook LM, Gemini Studio, and Canva. In addition, a computer maintenance workshop with the OS Flex Operating System was held, providing practical knowledge for the maintenance of the technological infrastructure.

In the final evaluation, the participants especially appreciated the opportunity to train together and “learn by doing”. All returned to their respective communities with the important challenge of transmitting what they learned, putting into practice what was learned in the workshops, and promoting formation and self-formation for the educators in their own realities.

This day represents a significant step in strengthening the communication skills of ECOS teams, consolidating their role as “presence that communicates” in an authentic and effective way in today’s digital environment.
