Rome (Italy). On 4 July 2021, the Holy See Press Office announced the admission of Pope Francis to the Agostino Gemelli Polyclinic in Rome for a scheduled surgery.
The Mother General of the Institute of the Daughters of Mary Help of Christians, Sr. Yvonne Reungoat, expressing her closeness to Pope Francis, invites all the Daughters of Mary Help of Christians, the young people, and the Educating Communities to join in prayer so that he may soon resume his health to continue his mission as Shepherd.

«Today, Sunday 4 July, His Holiness Pope Francis was hospitalized at the Agostino Gemelli Polyclinic in Rome where he will undergo surgery for a symptomatic diverticular stenosis of the colon.
This communication learned from the Vatican Press Office, unites us as an Institute in prayer for Pope Francis so that the intervention is resolved well and that he can recover his health, and  continue his mission as Father and Shepherd with the strength, courage, and love that characterize it.
I invite you, dear sisters, to pray and offer some small sacrifices, also involving the young and adults, to raise to the Father a single chorus of requests for the speedy recovery of the Vicar of Jesus, with the same love that our Founder had for the Pope.

Pope Francis has gifted the Philippines in so many ways but especially with his pastoral visit in 2015 and the Eucharistic Celebration in Rome for the 500th anniversary of Catholicism in our country this year 2021. May our Blessed Mother and all our Salesian Saints intercede for his good health and safe recovery.
