Lima (Peru). Saint Rosa of Lima Province (PER) hosted the Meeting of Social Communication Coordinators of the Inter-provincial Conference of Bolivarian Nations (CINAB), held from 3 to 6 April 2025 in Lima.

During the meeting, whose purpose was to strengthen the communicative management of the CINAB,  the results achieved in the period 2023-2025 were evaluated and the processes underway in each of the participating Provinces were shared.

Sister Elsy Núñez, PER Provincial, encouraged the Sisters to cultivate the art of being communicators and rediscover the strength of Salesian communication in the daily presence of each Daughter of Mary Help of Christians. She also recalled Pope Francis’ call to generate encounters in the digital world and do good through it. She also echoed the invitation of General Chapter XXIV, encouraging reflection on listening and understanding, and strengthening personal attention and pedagogy of “one by one” as a concrete expression of encounter.

In two moments of the day, Dr. Mario Valdivia, from EduMarketing, offered training focusing on strategic communication planning and coordination. During his presentation, he highlighted key aspects to achieve the objectives of the conference: promoting training in and for communication, strengthening intercultural communication, and promoting networked educommunicative processes.

Particular attention was given to the training of young communicators, encouraging their active participation and their role as evangelizers in both digital spaces and institutional environments.

A very significant moment was the virtual round table with young people, lay people, and Sisters representing the Provinces of Bolivia, Ecuador, Colombia, Venezuela, and Peru. In this space, their contributions and expectations regarding the next Educommunication course for young people of the Salesian works have been collected and systematized.

During the meeting, content production work was coordinated for the official accounts of the Social Communication Team of America (ECOSAM). The participants also addressed the theme, “How to develop creativity”, shared celebrations around the Word of God, and experienced moments of listening and fraternity.

The CINAB Communication meeting ended with a pilgrimage to emblematic shrines in Lima, such as Saint Rose of Lima, Saint Dominic, and the Metropolitan Cathedral, as a sign of gratitude and renewal of the communicative commitment of  Salesian spirituality.
