Rome (Italy). On 15 May the annual meeting took place of the General Curie Members Association – Charismatic Families (AMCG-FC), born in 2014 from the solicitation of Pope Francis to give charisms a universal breadth as a gift of the Holy Spirit.

More than 700 consecrated persons and lay people from Africa, America, Asia, and Europe participated in the online meeting. Present for the Salesian Family were Fr. Joan Lluis Playà, Salesian of Don Bosco, Delegate of the Rector Major for the SF; Sr. Maria Luisa Miranda, Councilor for the SF of the Institute of the Daughters of Mary Help of Christians;  Sr. Gabriela Patiño, World Delegate FMA Past Pupils, some FMA Past Pupils and Daughters of Mary Help of Christians.

The goal was to deepen the theme “The shared charism as a leaven and an opportunity to take care of the common home” that accompanies the Association in the year 2020/2021.

The slogan of the Day, “Charismatic Families in and for the Common Home, allowed the participants to continue the path of formation together, in the commitment to build solid relationships in and between the Charismatic Families, to be promoters of the care of the Common Home.

Speakers who intervened, bringing their testimony regarding the commitment in the care of the Common Home were: Sr. Franca Zonta, Mother General of the Congregation of the Daughters of Mary Immaculate, representing the International Union of Superiors General (UISG); Fr. Arturo Sosa, Superior General of the Society of Jesus and President of the Union of Superiors General (USG); and Margherita Palazzi, representing the World Conference of Secular Institutes (CMIS).

The experiences of the De Vedruna Charismatic Family in Peru, the Guanellian Family in Amazonia, and the Lasallian Family in Spain were shared, where religious and lay people work together united by the charism, to take care of the Common Home.

The videoconference meeting offered the possibility to broaden the exchange and experience the richness of diversity. It was an opportunity to get to know each other, also through the interview with Fr. Fabio Ciardi, Oblate Missionary of Mary Immaculate who related the origins and steps of the AMCG-FC Association, to welcome those who approached for the first time with the desire to know the common path and for those who have already shared it for some time.
