Czaplinek (Poland). From 15 to 19 January 2024, children and young people of St. John Bosco Oratory of the Salesians of Don Bosco of the Province of Saint Adalberto (PLN), lived a winter holiday with the SDB and Daughters of Mary Help of Christians.

The camp was organized and led by Fr. Michał Kwiatkowski, SDB; Sister Marta Napora, and Sister Joanna Jach, FMA of Mary Help of Christians Province (PLA) and animators. The group, 49 children and young people, enthusiastically participated in the different activities from Monday to Friday, from 9:00 to 3:00: integration activities, a trip to the forest district of Czaplinek, a trip to Piła at Rodło Bowling for bowling and pizza, sports activities in the hall (acrobatics, basketball and football), the trip to an alpaca farm in Dêbołęka with bonfires and sausages, and a film screening in Połczyn-Zdrój.

Even young people took advantage of the winter rest to have fun in the snow. There was plenty of time for singing, group activities, make-up for the kids, competitions, art classes, riddles, games, and fun, with tasty meals and snacks, such as pancakes.

Each day began with prayer and at the end of the daily activities there was the “Salesian good night”. On the last day, Fr. Michał distributed to all diplomas and souvenir photos.

The holiday was co-financed by the Municipality of Czaplinek and supported with prayer and service from families, Sisters, and Salesians. The great joy of the boys and girls confirmed to the SDB and FMA animators, how precious the days lived together were, which will remain long in the hearts of many!
