Haledon (United States) In response to requests from parents of children who had a positive experience with the Virtual Summer Camp , the Daughters of Mary Help of Christians of St. Joseph Province of the United States and Canada (SEC) will launch, starting from 19 September 2020, the monthly commemoration of St. Joseph, the new initiative of the weekly “virtual Oratory”.

“We feel that Our Lady and Mother Mazzarello are entrusting us with the mandate to seek new ways to be with young people in this difficult time” said Sister Joanne Holloman, SEC Provincial “and we hope that by living in the virtual environment we will be able to respond to the needs of young people, as well as parents who find themselves disoriented by the Covid-19 pandemic.”

On 23 August 2020, through an online meeting, seventeen FMA from the Province met to plan the contents and logistics of this new initiative. The Virtual Oratory will be completely live, via a virtual platform and will continue to offer children and young people the most popular activities of the Virtual Summer Camp, following a story based on the cultivation of virtues and the promotion of Salesian Holiness.

Four teams of FMA and young people in formation, in turn, will manage the space of two hours each month, from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm on Saturday. Further information will be published on the site salesiansisterscamp.org.
