Luanda (Angola). From 6 to 8 August 2021, at St. John Bosco House in Kakuako (Luanda), the second formation meeting of the FMA Temporary Professed of Queen of Peace Preprovince (ANG) took place.

Seven Temporary Professed Sisters, the Provincial, Sr. Mª das Graças de Souza, and Sr. Isabel Mira, Coordinator for Formation of the Preprovince participated in the meeting. The themes proposed, taken from the Temporary Professed course were: Dialogue, the New Directory for Catechesis, and the Global Pact for Education.

The theme of  Dialogue was presented from different perspectives by Sr. Quintinha, Missionary Servant of the Holy Spirit. The Temporary Professed reflected on the dynamics, contents, and experiences regarding the value of dialogue, the elements necessary for this to happen, the conflicts and the psychological mechanisms that may be at their origin, and concluded by considering  dialogue in the light of the model of the Most Holy Trinity.

The same theme was also addressed in an intergenerational and intercultural key. Many challenges  emerged, but the richness that springs from sincere dialogue, which overcomes obstacles and does not lose sight of the Holy Trinity, was underlined.

Sr. Isabel Mira, FMA, worked with the Sisters on the New Directory for Catechesis. After having contextualized its origins, a general presentation was made, highlighting the main novelties: the kerygma and mystagogy as elements present constantly in each stage of the Catechesis, and a chapter dedicated to the digital world. In the light of this presentation, the FMA worked on the paragraphs of the New Directory which speak of the Catholic School and the Teaching of Religion.

The last reflection was on the Global Education Pact, starting from the Message of Pope Francis for the launch of the Educational Pact, to understand the purpose of this educational alliance, to promote and activate a common educational pact. It was a time to look at the educational pastoral reality of Angola and evaluate the commitments proposed by the Pope.

The Temporary Professed lived days of study, communion, fraternity, and spirituality, welcomed by the FMA Community of St. John Bosco of Luanda KaKuako that took care of the environment, so that the meeting would take place in the  Salesian family spirit.
