Strenna Presentation 2026 – Direct Streaming

Rome (Italy). On 27 December 2025, as per tradition, the Rector Major of the Salesians of Don Bosco, Fr. Fabio Attard, delivers the 2026 Strenna first to the Daughters of Mary Help of Christians and to the entire Salesian Family, “Do whatever he tells you – Believers, free to serve.”

As the Rector Major recalls in his presentation of the theme, this is an important moment for all Salesian realities preparing to experience the new year around a common theme that accompanies the mission:

“In a time of great transformations and challenges along with unprecedented opportunities, STRENNA 2026 aims to be a spiritual itinerary that offers a compass in the growth of faith on a personal level, and a growth of pastoral experience on a community level. In this sense, we are called as Salesian Family Groups and local communities starting from listening to reality rooted in faith in Christ. In this logic, we live our call with authentic freedom. It is a freedom that pushes us to make choices in favor of young people and all those who are missing the ‘wine’ of hope. It is a freedom that leads us to strengthen our commitment to integral human promotion.”

The event will take place in Rome, in the General House of the FMA Institute, in the presence of Mother, Sister Chiara Cazzuola, and the General Councilors, the Resident Community, some members of the SDB General Council, and various representatives of the Salesian Family.

After an initial introduction by the Rector Major, the video will be projected – curated by the Social Communication Sector of the Salesian Congregation – which accompanies and illustrates through the images, the meaning of the Strenna message.

This will be followed by an interview with Fr. Fabio Attard which will allow, through dialogue with two members of the Salesian Family, to delve into the topic to understand its details and reading paths.

The Strenna presentation will be broadcast live worldwide at 5:00 PM (Rome time).

On the same day, a booklet of the Rector Major’s Strenna will be made available in paper and PDF format in various languages, again by the SC Sector, with a series of proposals for its implementation at the pastoral level.
