Miami (United States of America). On 14 April 2026, students at Immacolata-La Salle High School in Miami, administered by the Daughters of Mary Help of Christians of the St. Joseph Province (SEC), organized a fundraiser titled “For the Kids” to raise funds in support of “Mother Chiara’s Kids.”
Immaculata-La Salle (ILS) is a co-educational school serving grades 7 through 12, with an enrollment of approximately 900 students. This fundraising initiative is a tradition in which ILS students have participated for several years in preparation for the World Day of Gratitude on 26 April, an event being held this year in Macas, Ecuador. After an entire day of digital fundraising using an innovative app called “Goose Chase”, the students raised a remarkable sum to be donated to the “Ragazzi di Madre Chiara in Ecuador.”
On 16 April, a group of student representatives presented the check to Sister Ruth del Pilar Mora so that, at the conclusion of her Canonical Visit to the SEC Province, she may present it to Mother Chiara.
The Ecuadorian Province of the Sacred Heart (ECU), which is hosting the Celebration, drawing inspiration from the tireless work of the new missionary Saint will allocate contributions to the “Saint Maria Troncatti Complex” (SMT) in Sucúa. This project entails the expansion of social outreach initiatives with a particular focus on youth; the construction of a commemorative chapel, and the care and management of the historical archive.
