Belo Horizonte (Brazil). From 31 March to 2 April 2023, in the States of Goiás (Anápolis) and Minas Gerais (Ponte Nova), about 80 young people from Mother Mazzarello Province (BMM) lived the Salesian Youth Easter.

Salesian Youth Easter (PAJUSA) is one of the important moments of faith growth that the BMM Province, like other Provinces of Central and South America, offers to young people, with the aim of helping them to pray and live the Easter Mystery, nourishing in them the desire to become young missionaries, evangelizers of other young people.

This important time of growth takes place in the week before Easter, so that the young people can then experience Holy Week in their parishes. During these days there are moments of reflection, prayer, group dynamics, and participation in the life of the ecclesial community.

on Palm Sunday, In the city of Anápolis, the young people attended Mass in Good Jesus Cathedral and, after the final blessing, they were welcomed with warmly by Bishop João Wilk. In Ponte Nova, the Palm Sunday Mass was presided over by Fr. Luiz da Paixão Rodrigues, of the Archdiocese of Mariana – MG.

The young people lived this strong and awaited event with joy, enthusiasm, and faith, expressing their gratitude for the opportunity of moments like these which nourish their faith and help them understand and experience the true meaning of the Paschal Mystery: Jesus who gives Himself to all humankind for love.
