Kyiv (Ukraine). On 23 and 24 March 2024, the Daughters of Mary Help of Christians present in Ukraine met in the capital Kyiv to live an encounter of fraternity and sharing among themselves.

Seven Sisters from the communities of Lviv, Odessa, and Kyiv spent two entire days together praying and sharing the vicissitudes of the Educating Communities living in this time of conflict.

With the families and youth of the parish and St. John Paul II Gymnasium, where the Kyiv FMA have been serving since 2021, they celebrated Palm Sunday in the parish.

There was also an online meeting with the Superior of the Preprovince Mother of God (EEG) Sister Malgorzata Pietruszczak, with the Carmelite Fathers, and the Sisters of Saint Joseph, with whom the FMA collaborate in many situations.

The Sisters of Ukraine were able to share in the family spirit some precious moments in the chapel, in the preparation of meals, at the table, in walks in the woods, in recreation, strengthening the bonds and the sense of belonging to the Institute.

May the Lord, God of life, restore peace to this people and to the FMA who daily share the people’s sufferings and fears, bringing hope, light, and support where they are called to carry out their mission.
