Rome (Italy). From 21 to 23 May 2021, in online mode, the Salesian Family  World Council of the World Leaders of the 32 Groups belonging to it took place.

The World Council expresses the charismatic unity of the Salesian Family in an institutional way. It is a space for dialogue and common reflection, to promote communion between the Groups that comprise it, and to ensure the development of the Salesian charism.

The Daily Schedule provides three moments open to all interested parties via live streaming on the  Facebook page of ANS:

On 21 May at 14:00 (Italy time), the Rector Major of the Salesians of Don Bosco, Fr. Ángel Fernández Artime, center of unity and promoter of the various groups of the Family, will open the Days centered on the theme of the Strenna: Moved by hope: “ Behold, I make all things new” (Rev 21:5).

Afterwards, Fr. Gustavo Cavagnari, SDB, professor of Pastoral Theology at the Salesian Pontifical University (UPS) in Rome, will speak on the theme “I make all things new”. Hope and care for the present.

On 23 May at 12:30, from the Shrine of Mary Help of Christians in Turin, the celebration of Holy Mass on the Solemnity of Pentecost will be broadcast, presided over by Fr. Joan Lluís Playà, Central Delegate of the Rector Major for the Salesian Family.

On 24 May at 18:30 the Rector Major, Fr. Ángel Fernández Artime, will preside over the celebration of Holy Mass on the Solemnity of Mary Help of Christians, from the Turin Valdocco Shrine.

The annual meeting of the Salesian Family takes place in the month in which the holiness of several members is celebrated: St. Dominic Savio, St. Mary Mazzarello, St. Luigi Orione, St. Leonardo Murialdo, Blessed Giuseppe Kowalski, and the closing on the Solemnity of Mary Help of Christians, the Mother and Teacher who “did everything” in Don Bosco’s life and to whose protection the Salesian Family continues to entrust itself with filial confidence.
