Tam Ha (Vietnam). On May 19, 2018 the FMA of Mary Help of Christians Province (VTN) gathered in the Provincial House at Tam Ha for the closing encounter with Sr. Maria Assunta Inoue, Visiting General Councilor, thanking her for her visit to the Province that began on February 21, 2018.

Sr. Maria Assunta shared with every community in Vietnam and Laos the Gospel passage of Emmaus following the ordinary Mass rite, so that each community could accomplish a pastoral conversion reflecting concretely on its life by experiencing the encounter with Jesus as happened for the two disciples.

Sr. Maria Assunta also led them to reflect on the ‘colloquy’ to re-vitalize this tradition in the Institute and recounted the enriching mission of the General Council to make the sense of belonging increase in the Institute.

In addition to the personal encounter with each sister, Sr. Maria Assunta also met the sisters of Central and North Vietnam and Laos, the Temporary Professed, various groups, and significant individuals. On April 8, she had an encounter with about 1,000 young people on the occasion of a formation meeting.

The Vietnamese FMA expressed their gratitude through songs, dances, and music. The culmination was the Eucharistic celebration with the mandate to live each day the orientations that Sr. Maria Assunta had given.
