Haledon, New Jersey (United States). From 9 to 13 June 2019, the Pre-Chapter Commission met to plan the first Chapter of Saint Joseph Province (SEC). The Chapter will take place from 9 to 15 October in Newton, New Jersey. This Chapter will be a significant moment for the new Province, consisting of the previous Province of St. Philip the Apostle USA in the United States and CND Our Lady of the Cape Province of Canada.

The Pre-Chapter Commission, led by Sister Maria Colombo, Provincial Secretary and Moderator of the Provincial Chapter, is made up of FMA representatives of the various works and Sectors:

Sister Theresa Kelly, Director of Sacred Heart Retreat Center and College Theology Teacher.

Sister Cora Beboso, Canadian vocational director

Sister Michelle Geiger, Principal of the Girls Academy of Our Lady High School.

Sister Brittany Harrison, Coordinator for Youth Pastoral

The members of the Commission were engaged in studying and deepening the pre-chapter document centered on the Wedding at Cana, as they planned a program for the development of the Provincial Chapter which gives ample space to the voice of the young people who will participate.

The Provincial, Sister Joanne Holloman said: “Our first provincial chapter is a historical moment, and I trust in the prayers and good will of our sisters to make this an experience of mutual discernment, as we walk together in faith with and for young people”.
