(Ales-Terralba). In the Episcopal Seminary of Villacidro, diocese of Ales-Terralba, in Sardinia, a small garden is born ‘of miracles’, a vegetable garden that gives life and hope to those who, unfortunately, have lost it.

The Project, “TRAINING, ORIENTATION, AND FREEDOM TO BE ABLE TO CHOOSE“, funded by the CEI, in fact, has the objective of favoring the process of socio-economic autonomy of immigrants, transmitting professional and transversal competencies and thus increasing their level of employability in the territory.

The management and implementation of training and orientation activities is entrusted to CIOFS-FP SARDINIA and its Service for Work.

The recipients who have joined the project are 20 weak or vulnerable migrants because of the abuses suffered in the journeys of hope, coming from Third World Countries, applicants and beneficiaries of international and humanitarian protection or taken in custody by social-assistance and/or social-health services, all guests of the two CAS of Villacidro, managed by the Social Cooperative “To the Sources” Project A, an ‘Opera Segno’ of the diocesan Caritas.

The activities, foreseen by the project and all in provision, are:

  1. Training course for Agricultural Operator, divided into 90 hours of training and 60 hours of practical exercises/stages;
  2. 2. Computer literacy course lasting 50 hours;
  3. Accompaniment counter at work.

The students, migrants from various countries, are experiencing the different activities with great enthusiasm and a great sense of responsibility, and while they receive from us a new seed of hope and a new possibility of life, with their will and their responsibility, they give us great confidence in the future: welcoming and growing together YOU CAN!
