Bangkok (Thailand). On 17 July  2021, the online formative meeting was held on the theme: “FMA, disciple and apostle of Christ” for the FMA and lay catechists of St. Mary Mazzarello Province in Thailand (THA).

The meeting, organized by the Provincial Coordinators for the Missions Sector, Sr. Pornphirun Chandenduang, and for the Youth Ministry Sector of Catechesis, Sr. Thippawan Charuwipak, was attended by more than 130 online.

In her opening greeting the Provincial, Sr. Nipha Rangabpit, encouraged the participants to build around themselves a climate of hope and faith, following the example of St. Joseph. The meeting continued with 5 insights on the Apostolic Letter Patris corde, proposed by Fr. Vatchasin Kritcharoen and some speakers from the Thai Diocese of Ratchaburi, with interactive moments, to make St. Joseph more known and loved.

The purpose of the Apostolic Letter, published on 8 December 2020, on the occasion of the 150th  anniversary of the declaration of St. Joseph as patron of the Universal Church, is in fact “to increase love for this great saint, to be motivated to implore his intercession and to imitate his virtues and his enthusiasm.”

The participants were struck by the personality of Joseph and his mission carried out for Jesus and Mary. The meeting ended with the song “Give Thanks“, an expression of gratitude to the Lord, to the Province, and to the speakers for the wealth of ideas offered in the formation meeting.
