Rome (Italy). On 26 May 2026, at 2:00 PM (Rome time), a webinar organized by the General Council of the Institute of the Daughters of Mary Help of Christians will be held on a topic of great actuality and growing relevance in contemporary society, and, in particular, in the field of education: identity and gender.
The theme stems from the urgency, highlighted by the 24th General Chapter to delve deeper into this topic, which significantly challenges the identity of the FMA as they engage in their educational mission.
“Gender: Open Questions for Education and Accompaniment” is the specific topic of the online meeting, explored in depth by Prof. Susy Zanardo, a professor at the European University of Rome and the “Auxilium” Faculty of Educational Sciences, who is highly active in the field of research.
Prof. Zanardo will address exclusively the FMA Communities and novices worldwide via the Zoom platform, with simultaneous translation into English, Spanish, French, and Portuguese.
Given the global scope of the event, participation as a community is requested; this is to be done by submitting the registration by May 6 via the online form available at the link indicated in the letter sent to the Provincials and Community Animators.
“Like Mary in the Cenacle, awaiting Pentecost, let us together invoke the Spirit of the Risen One to enlighten our minds and hearts, making us ever more capable of understanding the reality of young people, so that we may be artisans of peace and seeds of hope” is the wish of Mother Chiara Cazzuola and the General Councilors.
