Roma (Italia). L’Ambasciata delle Filippine presso la Santa Sede ha conferito a suor Runita Galve Borja, Consigliera generale per la Pastorale Giovanile dell’Istituto delle Figlie di Maria Ausiliatrice, un riconoscimento per il servizio alla Chiesa e al Paese. Il riconoscimento, conferito ufficialmente in data 3 novembre 2023, è stato da lei ritirato presso l’Ambasciata di Roma nel febbraio 2024.
Nella Lettera indirizzata a suor Runita, l’Ambasciatrice, Sig. ra Myla Grace Ragenia Catalbas Macahilig, si è così espressa:
“Mentre ricordiamo il tema ‘Donati per donare’ della celebrazione del 500° dell’introduzione del cristianesimo nelle Filippine (2021), ci accorgiamo che le Filippine è arrivato a un punto tale in cui è nella posizione di ‘ridare’ alla Chiesa Madre.
Uno dei doni più preziosi che il Paese ha offerto alla Chiesa sono i suoi numerosi figli e figlie che hanno scelto di intraprendere la vita sacerdotale/religiosa. In questo momento, vediamo molti di questi sacerdoti e suore assumere posizioni di responsabilità e di leadership nei rispettivi ordini/congregazioni.
Da parte sua, l’Ambasciata ritiene che sia giunto il momento di riconoscere il servizio che questi leader nel servizio che stanno rendendo alle loro comunità e di riconoscere che, nell’assumere questi ruoli, essi rendono onore anche alle Filippine e alla Nazione filippina.
Ho il privilegio di informarla che l’abbiamo identificata come uno di questi leader onorati, in riconoscimento del servizio che sta rendendo alla Chiesa e al Paese”.
Congratulazioni a suor Runita, con l’augurio di continuare con la stessa passione ed entusiasmo il suo servizio all’Istituto e alla Chiesa, nello spirito del “da mihi animas” per la salvezza delle giovani e dei giovani, specialmente i più poveri.
