Ikorodu (Nigeria). Il 26 giugno 2021, presso la Parrocchia S. Agostino di Ikorodu, si è svolto il Corso Animatori organizzato dalle Figlie di Maria Ausiliatrice dell’Ispettoria Africa Ovest Madre di Dio (AFO) presenti in Nigeria.
Il tema dell’incontro di Formazione, a cui hanno partecipato più di 50 animatori delle parrocchie del Decanato di Ikorodu era: “Sistema Preventivo, Pedagogia educativa e Spiritualità per l’educazione dei bambini oggi”.
Alla giornata erano presenti don Basil Okoro, Decano del Decanato di Ikorodu, don Francis, Cappellano dell’Associazione dell’Infanzia Missionaria (MCA), don Livinus Orakwe, Claretiano della Parrocchia di S. Agostino.
Suor Justine Egbedike Oluchi, FMA, ha animato l’incontro formativo con il metodo educativo salesiano, attraverso l’insegnamento, la condivisione tra e con i/le giovani e il lavoro di gruppo, per portare concretamente animatori e animatrici a comprendere l’importanza del Sistema Preventivo. I/le giovani hanno vissuto un tempo di lavoro nei gruppi con attività pratiche sull’applicazione del Sistema Preventivo con i bambini.
Al termine dell’incontro di Formazione, animatori e animatrici hanno espresso la loro gratitudine a Dio e alle Figlie di Maria Ausiliatrice per l’esperienza vissuta.
La Comunità FMA – composta da suor Jacqueline George, suor Justine Egbedike Oluchi e suor Dieudonne Jean Louis – ha fatto l’ingresso ufficiale in Ikorodu-Lagos in Nigeria, nell’Arcidiocesi di Lagos, il 15 novembre 2019, in risposta alle richieste dei Vescovi locali. Per rispondere ai bisogni educativi e formativi dei/delle giovani nigeriani collabora per le attività pastorali e l’accompagnamento di gruppi di giovani e bambini nella Parrocchia di S. Agostino, per l’animazione vocazionale e l’oratorio.
Con la presenza delle FMA, il carisma educativo di S. Giovanni Bosco e di S. Maria Domenica Mazzarello si diffonde in Nigeria, perché le/i giovani conoscano Gesù e vivano la vita in pienezza.

It was a commendable experience. Glad to have been part of it.
All praise and thanksgiving to God for his work in the lives and the souls of the Youth through this beautiful charism. We pray that they animator may take to heart whatever they have learnt and let it fructify wherever they will be among the poorer ones as a sign, an expression and a radiant of Hope.

What a joy today to see the Missionary Childhood Association (MCA) in Archdiocese of Lagos been formed with our Preventive System method given to us by St. John Bosco and St. Mary Dominica mazzarello.
Long live Daughters of Mary help of Christians ( AFO) province, long live Nigerian youths and children, especially the poorer ones.
