Setúbal (Portugal). As WYD Lisbon 2023 approaches, preparations intensify and the young people of St. Anna House of Setúbal, of the Daughters of Mary Help of Christians of Our Lady of Fatima Province (POR), have made themselves available for the preparation of the official kits that will distributed to the pilgrims.
Since the beginning of July, the work chain of the kits has been activated in Setúbal, in a warehouse of the Bluebiz Business Park and some young people and animators of the SYM Setúbal decided to contribute by donating some time and good will.
Distributed on various assembly lines, in a real atmosphere of cooperation, the volunteers dedicate themselves to the creation of the kits, which consist of a green or red backpack with the logo of the encounter, which can be transformed into a handbag. It includes: a reusable water bottle; a wooden rosary; a ribbon to hang around the neck with the WYD credential; a red or green WYD 2023 T-shirt; a white “Panama style” hat.
“I already have everything, I can’t wait to go!” said Pope Francis in a videomessage less than a month ago, receiving the complete kit as the first pilgrim.
The commitment and dedication of all the volunteers are invaluable in making possible the composition of the thousands of WYD kits, through which they cooperate in building the largest youth event in the world!
