Mornese (Italy). On 4 September 2023, with the installation of the Animator, Sr. Blanca Sanchez, of Mexican origins, and the arrival of five FMA from Mary Help of Christians Community of Rome, in addition to two already present on site and two more arriving, established the new international FMA community of Mornese (AL), of Mary Help of Christians Province (IPI) of Piedmont and Valle D’Aosta.

Accompanying them from Rome were the Vicar General of the Institute of the Daughters of Mary Help of Christians, Sr. María del Rosario García Ribas, with the Animator, Sr. Carla Castellino, and a group of sisters from Mary Help of Christians Community of the Generalate (RCG). To welcome them was the IPI Provincial, Sr. Emma Bergandi, and a group of Sisters from the Turin Community, Mary Help of Christians, with the Animator, Sr. Giuseppina Franco.

The moment of prayer in the Chapel of the Collegio was led by the IPI Provincial Councilors, who entrusted the new community to God. In the brief but significant opening address, Sister Emma underlined how the land of Mother Mazzarello will also be the place for the new arrivals to witness “how beautiful life is in Mornese”, despite the inevitable sacrifices.

By donating a small statue of the Holy Family that melts into an embrace, she also wished that each one be welcomed in her diversity and richness, to receive joyfully the FMA and pilgrims from all over the world. The uniqueness of the new Community of St. Mary D. Mazzarello is the fact that it is made up of Sisters from four continents with different languages and cultures.
