Rome (Italy) On 23 July 2020, in the FMA Generalate in Rome, three sisters of Mary Help of Christians Generalate Community (RCG) celebrated 25, 50, and 60 years of fidelity to the Lord in the Institute of the Daughters of Mary Help of Christians.
For Sr. Katarzyna Kasinska, who celebrated her 25th; Sr. Anna Maria Nizzola, her 50th; and Sr. Julia Arciniegas, her 60th of Religious Profession, it was a day of praise and gratitude for the strong and faithful presence of the Lord during these years of religious life.
The Eucharistic Celebration, with the Liturgy and singing animated by the Community, was presided by Fr. Carlo Maria Zanotti, Salesian of Don Bosco. In his homily, referring to Luke’s Gospel (11: 27-28), he emphasized the importance of listening to the Word of God and of being attentive to Jesus, the true blessedness who incarnates Himself in those who receive Him, to make them generative and arrive at the fullness of life.
The celebrating Sisters pronounced the formula of consecration to God the Father and thanked Him for His gifts and for having called them to follow Christ more closely in a religious Family with the charism of Don Bosco and of Mother Mazzarello, to make themselves a gift to the little ones and the poor.
Mother General, Sr. Yvonne Reungoat, presented each one with a lighted lamp, sign of faithful vigilance and wished them to continue to contemplate the signs of the presence of the Lord’s love in daily life and to be forever grateful for the gratuity with which they were chosen, with the motive indicated by Jesus, “Such has been your gracious will” (Mt 11: 26).
