Rome (Italy). From 15 to 26 June 2023, Mother Chiara Cazzuola and the General Councilors of the Institute of the Daughters of Mary Help of Christians lived an experience of interiority, encounter, and fraternity in the Sicilian Province of Mother Maddalena Morano (ISI), which welcomed them with the warm and familiar style typical of the island.

The Provincial, Sr. Angela Maria Maccioni, and the Sisters of the Provincial Council did their utmost to organize and make their stay pleasant and to favor the simple and fraternal encounter with the FMA Communities and the Educating Communities of the Province.

Colle San Rizzo Spirituality Center of (ME), surrounded by nature and silence, guaranteed the best conditions for living the Spiritual Exercises, for “being” in the presence of the Lord and meeting Him deeply, as well as the ideal climate for a fraternal sharing of experience which always consolidates communion.

A significant meeting with Mother Maddalena Morano could not be missing on June 18 at the Community of Alì Terme, at the Shrine of Mary Help of Christians which holds her remains, and the charism to entrust to her, bold and enterprising, the life of every FMA and the journey of the Institute, called today as yesterday, to respond to the ever-new challenges that contemporaneity launches at the educational mission of the Daughters of Mary Help of Christians.

At the end of the Spiritual Exercises, Mother and the Councilors received a festive and familiar welcome from the communities of Palermo, Catania, Pedara (CT), and had the opportunity to learn about the precious life that the sisters cultivate in the daily giving of themselves with affection and joy to children, teenagers, and young people.

The stay in Sicily concluded with the great celebration of 25 June, which attracted the Educating Communities of the island to the provincial house of Catania for a lively and interesting day of celebration and sharing of life.
