Tam Ha (Vietnam). On 7 October 2025, in the Chapel of the Tam Ha Provincial House, during  Vespers of the Feast of Our Lady of the Rosary, the entry of eight young women into the Postulate of Mary Help of Christians Province (VTN) was celebrated.

Guided by the Word of God, “I can do everything in Him who gives me strength.” (Phil 4:13), the candidates expressed their trust in God’s providential love, responding to the invitation to enter into a deeper relationship with Jesus.

The Rite was celebrated in a simple but solemn way, with the presence of the Provincial Sister Maria Hoang Thi Thu Ha; the Provincial Vicar and Animator of the Saint Joseph Community, Sister Maria Do Thi Tuyet Nhung; the Provincial Council, the Animators, and the FMA of the three communities of Tam Ha.

After the announcement of the names and the Provincial’s question, the candidates expressed their desire to deepen their personal relationship with Christ, to serve poor and abandoned young people according to the Institute’s Charism. Confident in the grace of God and in the help of Mary Help of Christians, they asked to begin the Postulate period. Subsequently, Sister Maria welcomed them and placed the religious medal around their necks.

In her words, she invited the new Postulants and the entire assembly to learn from Mary how to live the grace of presence; how she was present in the house of her cousin Elizabeth and at the wedding at Cana. How ‘she was’ with Jesus at the foot of the Cross. Mary’s presence has always brought service, peace, abandonment, and a deeper sense of human fulfillment. “We are called to imitate Mary, becoming a fruitful presence in every circumstance.” Sister Maria also spoke about the meaning of choosing the Feast of Our Lady of the Rosary to celebrate their entry into the Postulate. It is a gesture of entrusting one’s journey to Mary, so that she may accompany and guide each one in following Jesus.

Although simple in form, the Rite of admission to the Postulate marks a moment of growth in freedom and responsibility for the new Postulants, a step forward on the path. Some testimonials:

“Looking back on my path, I realize that everything is grace. Living in the house of Mary Help of Christians, I felt supported and loved, especially by the family spirit present here. In this new step, I hope that every day I can follow Mary’s example, abandoning myself to grace, so that God can freely realize His plan in my life.” (Maria Nguyen Hang)

“On this new journey, with the Word of God, ‘I can do everything in Him who gives me strength’ (Phil 4:13), I feel the hand of God holding mine as I walk in the Salesian vocation, through the accompaniment of the Sisters of the Province. God chose me to be His friend.” (Maria Tran)

With the hearts of daughters, the Postulants expressed their gratitude to God, to the Provincial, to Sister Teresa Uong Thi Doan Trang, Animator of  Formation, to the Provincial Council, to the Animators, and to all the Sisters who prayed for them and who accompanied and guided them. They were wished a good journey, continuing to cultivate an attitude of gratitude.
