Lonavla (India). 26 January 2018. On the occasion of the 69th Republic Day of our country India, Auxilium Convent School Lonavla participated in a programme organized by the Maval Varta Foundation (a news Channel) along with the Lonavla Khandala Municipal Corporation. The Rally cum Competition was organized to create awareness in our society regarding the environmental issues we face in and around our society and in India as a whole.
Thirty-six schools of Lonavla and Khandala participated creatively with Mother Earth, banners, dhols, lezims, actors depicting our national leaders and Mother Earth marched towards the whole of Lonavla. Auxilium Lonavla stood first and was declared as the best school in the rally. Sr. Sheela Furtado, Principal, along with the staff and students were escorted to the stage and was awarded a shield and a cash prize of Rs. 5000/-. This added one more feather on the school’s cap, it also gave the school a boost to continue protecting the environment through its many activities.
