Belo Horizonte (Brazil). On 30 November 2023, Sister Paola Battagliola, Visiting Councilor of the Institute of the Daughters of Mary Help of Christians, concluded the canonical visit to Mother Mazzarello Province (BMM), which began on 27 July.

During this period, Sister Paola visited the vast territory of the Brazilian Province reaching more than thirty FMA communities, to learn about the different realities of Schools, Social Works, and the Indigenous Mission. In each of the Houses, she was welcomed by the Educating Communities with great affection and joy, characteristics of the Salesian Charism present throughout the world.

In the presence of the FMA and the laity, she was able experience first-hand, surrounded by students, students, recipients of the works, and all the Educating Communities, some of the mission carried out in each Region, covering all the States that make up Mother Mazzarello Province: Espírito Santo, Goiás, Mato Grosso, Minas Gerais, Rio de Janeiro, and the Federal District.

She also participated in the Assembly of the Salesian Network Brazil (RSB) and the Inter-Provincial Conference of Brazil (CIB), and the National Meeting of Inserted Communities (ENCIS).

At the end of the Visit, there were meetings with the FMA for up to 25 years of profession and moments of farewell with the Provincial Council and the Community Animators.

In this time, Sister Paola had the opportunity to follow the new paths undertaken by the Province, the steps accomplished, and the scenarios that open up, to know the work that is being carried out and the Strategic Plan with the activities and guidelines planned until 2027.

The Province is grateful to Sister Paola Battagliola for the atmosphere of listening and openness that she has created around her and all the Educating Communities that welcomed her with enthusiasm, nourishing the family spirit and the charismatic foundations cultivated in all the Presences.
