Castel Gandolfo (Italy). On 12 June 2025, at the theater of Sacred Heart House in Rome, of St. John Bosco Province (IRO), the now traditional appointment with the presentation of the Novices will focus on the first missionary expedition (14 November 1877), on the 150th anniversary for which we are preparing with a Triennial of initiatives, celebrations, and insights.
The invitation of the Novices:
Urged by the initiatives promoted for the Triennium of preparation for the celebration of 150th of the first missionary expedition of the Daughters of Mary Help of Christians, we Novices of the International Novitiate Mary Help of Christians of Castel Gandolfo, have studied the missionary character of our Institute and, with the professionalism of the Director Paola Staiano, we will stage the highlights that led to the departure of the first six young FMA missionaries for Patagonia in 1877.
The project involved us in the study of the sources, writing the script, composing music and songs, caring for costumes and set designs. With a lively family spirit, we have taken care of every detail to convey the beauty of such an arduous task to accomplish with very few means available, but lived with a very great desire to leave for distant America to bring the message of Christ to the ends of the earth.
The appointment is for 12 June 2025 at 17.00, at the theater of “Sacred Heart” House in via dell’Ateneo Salesiano, 81 in Rome.
