Quito (Ecuador). On 19 November 2025, exactly one month after the canonization of Saint Maria Troncatti, Sacred Heart Province (ECU) gratefully celebrated the publication of the Spanish version of the biography “The Grace of a Totally Given Yes”, edited by Sister Maria Collino, with the aim of bringing close to everyone the human, spiritual, and holy testimony of this great missionary.

The event-attended by ecclesiastical authorities, members of the Salesian Family Groups, the Provincial Council, and the Animators of all the works of the Daughters of Mary Help of Christians of the Country-was held in the hall of  Sister Teresa Valsé Pantellini House in Quito, as a solemn moment characterized by the family spirit and profound gratitude for Sister Maria Troncatti’s testimony.

In her initial greeting, the Provincial, Sister Lupe Erazo, emphasized the value of this publication as an opportunity to continue spreading the life, works, and spirituality of the one  who gave her existence to God and to the poorest.

One of the central moments was the presentation of the book’s content by Dr. Mariana Cesén, who explained its clear and well-defined narrative thread in themes and sub-themes. She also highlighted how each chapter includes – under the title “Reflection and Life” – precious pearls of wisdom that invite  to deepen the reading.

She also set out in detail the three parts that compose it:

  • The first, dedicated to Sister’s family life Maria.
  • The second, focused on her vocational choice and her entry into the Institute of the FMA.
  • The third —broadest —  brings together her intense missionary life in Ecuador, especially her service among the poorest and most defenseless in the Amazon.

Dr. Cesén emphasized that the work offers a spiritual reading that illuminates the figure of the Salesian Saint. Every act of her life reveals itself as a “mystical yes” supported by God’s plan of love.

The Province expresses its gratitude to those who made this publication possible and renews its commitment to continue spreading the simple, close, and deeply evangelical sanctity of Saint Maria Troncatti, missionary, sister, and mother to all.
