Padua (Italy).  On 5 September 2022, a representation of the Daughters of Mary Help of Christians with the Provincial of the Province of St. Mary D. Mazzarello (ITV), Sr. Palmira De Fortunati, and some pupils of the three Schools of Padua run by the FMA – Don Bosco High School, Mary Help of Christians High School,  and CIOFS / FP Don Bosco – went to Palazzo Moroni, seat of the Municipality, to celebrate the 150th anniversary of the Foundation of the FMA Institute with the City of Padua and with those who represent it, the Mayor Sergio Giordani.

The young students remembered 5 August 1872, in which 11 young women from Mornese, in the presence of Don Bosco, became the first FMA, thus giving life to the Institute. Mayor Giordani listened with interest and attention to the history of the beginnings told by Students, renewing his gratitude and esteem for the presence of the FMA in Padua since 1911. He also congratulated the young people, wishing them a good school year, courage in making choices, and faith in the future.

This significant moment of citizenship ended with the bestowal of a commemorative plaque, in which the City of Padua thanks the Institute of the Daughters of Mary Help of Christians for its commitment to the education and formation of young people in the area.
