Roma (Italia). In the Message of Christmas Greetings 2025, the Superior General of the Institute of the Daughters of Mary Help of Christians, Mother Chiara Cazzuola, refers to St. Paul’s letter to Titus (2:11-14), which we will hear in the Christmas night mass, whose opening words resonate as a great message of consolation and comfort.

God’s grace has appeared! That grace promised since the origins of the world has miraculously descended upon our land. This is a helpless, small Child in need of everything. A child in the arms of a young, beautiful, tender Mother; a child who silently bursts into history. (…)
God’s grace has appeared. On Christmas night we realize that, while we were not up to it, He made Himself smallness for us. As we went along other roads, He came among us; He placed His dwelling among us. Christmas reminds us that God continues to love every person, even the most distant. He continues to love each one indiscriminately and at Christmas, He repeats to us, “I love you and always will love you, you are precious in my eyes.” His love is unconditional; it is not up to us. How often do we think that God is good if we are good and that He abandons us if we are bad. It is not so. In our sins, in our frailties, He continues to love us. His love does not change; it is not susceptible. It is faithful; it is patient; it is rich in mercy.
Here is the gift we find at Christmas, to discover with amazement that the Lord is all the gratuity possible, all the tenderness possible. His glory does not dazzle us; His presence does not frighten us. He is born poor in everything, to win us over with the wealth of His love. Truly the grace of God has appeared for us!
Also, this Christmas, His grace appeared for us!
If our hands seem empty to us, if our heart is a little dry or poor in love, this very night is an act of love for us. (…)
God’s grace has appeared to shine in our lives. We are called to welcome it and to make the light of Christmas shine in us, of this Christmas!
I entrust to the prayer of all of you our Sisters and the educating communities who live in situations of suffering and hardship, especially in Countries where war is not silent, poverty cries out, rights have no voice.
God’s grace has appeared for all, also for them.
With these sentiments, I wish you a serene and holy Christmas, in the joy of contemplating this great mystery and in giving thanks to the Father for His infinite mercy towards a world that yearns for hope and seems to find no peace.
