Ostrów Wielkopolski (Poland). On 25 October 2025 in Ostrów Wielkopolski, after 20 years of commitment and work, the gym of the School managed by the Daughters of Mary Help of Christians of the Blessed Maria Romero Meneses Community was officially inaugurated, a dream of generations of students, parents, teachers, and FMA of Mary Help of Christians Province (PLA).

The inauguration ceremony was attended by the Provincial, Sister Anna Szczęsna; the School Principal, Sister Mariola Oleszczyk, all the previous Principals, the Provincial Councilors, numerous Sisters from the Province, the students, the parents, and the teachers.

Present also were the Bishop of the Diocese of Kalisz, Monsignor Damian Bryl; the parish priest of St. Anthony Parish, Fr. Witold Szala; the mayor of the city, Mrs. Beata Klimek; the deputy mayor of the municipality of Ostrów, Radosław Torzyński; and Mrs. Dorota Hurna, member of the city council.

The event reflected the years of commitment, efforts, and collaboration between the various people who contributed to the development of the Salesian Charism in Ostrów Wielkopolski.  Everyone present at the inauguration of the gym was able to follow various speeches and also the artistic part prepared by the teachers, students, and past pupils of the primary school.

“The dream came true; the dream came true.” The phrase sung at the end of the celebration is the best conclusion of what many people carried in their hearts. It was the dream of a place where children could develop their sporting skills; the dream of a space that became a “character laboratory”, because this is precisely what training leads to; a dream, as Don Bosco wanted, inscribed in the Salesian Charism through sport.

The Community and the PLA Province express their gratitude to all those who contributed to the realization of the “dream” of a gymnasium; every benefactor who supported this project with prayer or with an economic contribution.
