Tonj (South Sudan). On 30 May 2025, the Educative Center of Saint Josephine Bakhita in Tonj, of Mary Help of Christians Preprovince (AES) celebrated the Solemnity of Mary Help of Christians entrusting to Our Lady the intercession for peace in their Country and in the whole world.
The day began with a formative moment on peace as a precious asset. Then there was the procession with the prayer of the Rosary, followed by songs and dances in honor of Mary Help of Christians.
About 1,000 people attended this event, including pupils from the Secondary and Primary Schools, the Early Childhood School, and students of the Accelerated Learning Program of Saint Bakhita, teaching and non-teaching staff, and Daughters of Mary Help of Christians.
This experience of prayer and reflection as an Educating Community with the young is a way to educate the young generation to cultivate the predisposition to peace towards others, wherever they are, and to make it understood that peace is a gift to be implored from God and to be cherished all together.
