Rome (Italy). As part of the itinerary in view of the Canonization of Sister Maria Troncatti (1883-1969), elaborated by the Historical Spiritual Liturgical Commission to learn more about the figure of the Blessed, the 7th video, on the occasion of the anniversary of her birth into heaven, 25 August 2025, proposes the precious interview with Juwá Bosco, belonging to the Shuar ethnic group, who was miraculously healed through the intercession of Sister Maria.
Juwá Juank Bosco Kankua, born in 1975 in Tuutin’entsa, province of Morona Santiago, is married to Natalina and is the father of six children. In 2015, he suffered a serious accident and was diagnosed with open head trauma with exposure of brain tissue. The family, the Salesian Sisters, and other people entrusted him to Blessed Maria Troncatti, obtaining an inexplicable recovery for medical science. He is currently 50 years old and is a person very grateful to God and Sister Maria, who restored his health and serenity, so much so that today he carries out his activities with absolute normality.
Interviewed by Sister Elena Trinitana, Daughter of Mary Help of Christians of Sacred Heart Province (ECU), member of the Canon Tribunal that followed the Canonization process of Juwá Bosco, tells how Sister Maria, who appeared to him in a dream while he was ill, healed his body and, above all, how from that moment, his life “changed completely” in his relationship with his wife and children. “My whole family is happy, and I am so happy I want to die,” are his words.
Juwá’s is not the only miracle that happened through Sister Maria’s intercession. As he himself states, “among the Shuar people, Sister Maria Troncatti is truly alive.”
The interview ends with his message to all the people who invoke her:
“I would like to say to all the people who hear my message that despite the fact that there are failures in life, you always must fight to move forward. Without God we are nothing, but with God everything is possible in life. This is what I want to say to everyone: if you are sick, have faith in her and in Almighty God. With Him nothing is missing… you may be about to die, but with God in your life nothing is impossible… everything is possible.”
