Rome (Italy). The saints are witnesses of faith and of humanity to be made known, so that the question arises within the hearts of those who approach them, “If they, why not me?” The holiness of Sister Maria Troncatti, Missionary Daughter of Mary  Help of Christians who will be canonized on 19 October 2025, shines in her being as the mother of all, a tireless missionary, a daily artisan of peace.

To make her known to all age groups – children, pre-adolescents, and young people – the young Sisters of the Lombard Holy Family Province (ILO), in collaboration with the Postulants of Turin, the Novices of Castel Gandolfo, and the Seminary of Milan, have created short resources that can be used during catechetical meetings or for the Good Morning in schools.

Introduced by an interpretation for educators and a greeting to the recipients, they are divided into four parts: a short biography and a module/proposal for reflection regarding her faith, her motherhood, and her being a sower of peace.

The Province’s gratitude goes to all those who collaborated with passion and care, with particular thanks to Fr. Michele Galli, Vice Rector of the Seminary of Milan and Director of the Fiaccolina, a historic magazine for younger people, who made available the comic book created for the “Three days altar boys”, whose texts are by the writer and journalist, Ylenia Spinelli, and the drawings by the cartoonist, Bruno Dolif.

The desire is that these resources may give rise to courageous and great choices in the hearts of young people like the one that, reading the Salesian Bulletin, caused in Sister Maria Troncatti, a life with great horizons, totally given to Jesus, and spent for the poor and for peace!

The resources can be downloaded either from the webiste of the FMA Institute or from the resources of the official website www.mariatroncatti.org
