Rome (Italy). On 26 April 2024 in Maputo, Mozambique, at St. John Bosco House in Infulene, the World Gratitude Day will be celebrated, animated by St. John Bosco Province (MOZ). Program of the Feast
“With Mary, guided by the ‘dream’, we generate peace by taking care of our common home” is the theme of the Feast, which aims to be a hymn of praise in response to the Chapter Deliberation, in the context of Integral Ecology, to proclaim with the psalmist : “O Lord our God, you have given us power over the work of your hands” (cf. Psalm 8). On the journey in preparation, the Mozambican Province invited us to delve deeper into ‘caring’ in the experience of Mother Mazzarello and Don Bosco, as well as education and ecological spirituality, drawing on Pope Francis’ Laudato Si’. Finally, it concludes with the proposal of a Lectio on the Beatitudes (Mt 5: 1-12) and with the commitment to live them every day as an educating community.
As per tradition, the World Feast constitutes the opportunity to express closeness and gratitude to the Superior of the Institute of the Daughters of Mary Help of Christians, as Sister María del Rosario García Ribas recalled in the Letter in view of the Feast:
“From the beginning of the preparation for this year’s celebration, we want to recognize the priceless gift that our dearest Mother, Sister Chiara Cazzuola, is for every Daughter of Mary Help of Christians and for the Educating Communities of the world.”
